Dirty snow...
Abstract piece for Space Research, chicken wire armature covered with a kind of paper mache made from wood glue, sawdust, paper strips, and chalk powder that is like wood when it dries, which was then covered with lots of spackle because we can't use plaster in the studio. Artificial flowers. Partially inspired by Martin Puryear... It's pretty much unfinished, there are elements to it that I didn't have time to add that were inspired by calligraphy that I'm sad aren't there. I will be making additional changes later, but it probably won't ever be realized to its full extent. I have NO IDEA how it's standing. It's defying physics, I swear to god. All of the bottoms are round and crooked and shouldn't be able to stand up but I guess it was a miracle of critique day. |
